What is Fiddle Frenzy?
"Fiddle Frenzy is the best event I've been to – not just in Music."
Moving into its fifth highly successful year, Shetland's Fiddle Frenzy with an exciting difference. In fact it's probably more a fiddle and cultural festival than singularly a fiddle school.

A marathon seven-day (and night) event, Fiddle Frenzy not only offers 'students' the opportunity to learn, and immerse themselves in, fiddle music Shetland style with some of our best and most famous tutors and musicians. Nobody is excluded. We offer everything from 'absolute beginners' courses, to those aimed at more experienced players.
Additionally you can also opt to simply learn the tunes via basic workshops or take part in more advanced workshops that include bowing techniques and other additional skills. As such, you will not only leave us with a whole new, personal 'Music Book' of local tunes to take away with you, but also be much more knowledgeable regarding playing skills and, of course, the many of the unique and individual styles that combine to form Shetland Traditional Fiddle Music.
